Recovery concerns the Keilor family coming together for the funeral of the oldest son, Samuel, who has committed suicide previous to the impending birth of his second child, leaving behind his beautiful wife and four-year-old daughter. Sam’Äôs younger sister Emilie returns from New York to contend with her family’Äôs mixed bag of emotions, befriends her brother’Äôs therapist, connects with old friends, and in the process discovers the truth behind Sam’Äôs fatal decision. Recovery is a dark family drama with a supernatural bent. Everyone in his life is haunted by their own guilt and regrets as a very real presence haunts Sam’Äôs old attic bedroom above the Keilor family garage.
